This policy explains what personal data I collect, why, and what your rights are. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the GDPR.
2. What data I collect
When you contact me: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), wedding date and location, and anything else you write in your message.
When you book me: contract details, billing address, and payment information needed for invoicing.
Photos: images of you, your partner, and your guests taken on the wedding day or during sessions.
When you visit my website: technical data such as IP address, browser, and pages visited, collected by my website host [and analytics tool, if used].
3. Why I use it
To answer your inquiries and prepare quotes
To carry out my contract with you, including photography, delivery, and invoicing
To meet legal obligations such as accounting and tax rules
To improve my website
To send you news or offers, only if you have agreed to it
4. Who receives your data
I only share data when it is needed to do my work. This may include:
Pixieset, which hosts my website and client galleries
Zoho Mail, for communicating with you
My accountant or tax advisor
Diverse print labs, which receive only the photos and address needed for the order
Stripe for payments
These providers may be located outside Switzerland, including in the EU and the US. Where this happens, I rely on appropriate safeguards, such as providers’ standard contractual clauses.
5. Photos and publishing
Your wedding photos are delivered to you through a private online gallery. I only use them on my website, social media, or for promotion if you have agreed to this in your contract. If you choose the “Keep it private” add-on, I will not publish any of your photos.
6. How long I keep your data
Inquiries that don’t lead to a booking: up to [12 months]
Contracts, invoices, and accounting records: 10 years, as required by Swiss law
Photos and galleries: [e.g. fully edited files for 2 years in a separate harddrive, online gallery for 2 to 6 months depending on your contract]
My website uses only cookies needed for the site to work. This collects anonymised usage data to help me improve my site. You can block it in your browser settings or with an opt-out tool.]
9. Social media embeds
My site may show content from Instagram or other platforms. If you view it, that platform may collect data about your visit. Please see their own privacy policies for details.
10. Your rights
You can ask me to:
tell you what data I hold about you
correct data that is wrong
delete your data, unless I am legally required to keep it
stop using your data for a specific purpose

11. Security
I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no internet transmission can be completely secure.
